We are recruiting for a social producer to join our editorial team on a 12-month contract.

The social producer will work as part of Guardian Australia’s busy and fast-paced social team, taking our journalism to new audiences off-platform in creative and engaging ways.

This role will suit a digitally-savvy and confident communicator with experience working with social media platforms, ideally Instagram, TikTok, Twitter or Snapchat, underpinned by a nuanced understanding of each platform’s unique ecosystem. Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro and After Effects is essential.

The successful candidate will possess strong writing skills with a flair for summarising long, complex stories into engaging and concise copy, a developed understanding of The Guardian brand and values, excellent attention to detail and the ability to work to tight deadline without compromising quality.
