Research Analyst

Medium Rare, Australia’s leading content marketing agency, is looking for a Research Analyst to work on data and audience insights to inform high-quality content campaigns for our clients (including Qantas, Qantas Red Planet, David Jones, Coles and Bunnings), their partners and high-value advertisers.

Medium Rare, Australia’s leading content marketing agency, is looking for a Research Analyst to work on data and audience insights to inform high-quality content campaigns for our clients (including Qantas, Qantas Red Planet, David Jones, Coles and Bunnings), their partners and high-value advertisers.

Working within Rare Creative, the agency’s energetic and fast-growing branded content studio, you will work closely with our Head of Strategy & Insights, and Research Manager to champion our audience understanding across digital publishing platforms, social media, video and print channels. Integral to this will be working closely with our partners at Red Planet, to grow our partnership and data offering.

You need to be someone who enjoys finding the insight within the data, and communicating that in a simple and effective way to a range of stakeholders and clients. You need to be excited by the opportunity to work across client campaigns from insight creation through to campaign performance reporting. 

Role responsibilities:

  • Utilising Search/SEO and website insights to inform commercial content ideas
  • Ability to extract insights from various data sets
  • Responsible for monthly and quarterly readership data updates
  • Management of annual brand Reader Surveys 
  • Oversee Red Planet campaign performance reporting and analysis
  • Delivery of post-campaign reporting of high-value travel and Qantas Loyalty client campaigns in collaboration with internal Rare Creative teams 
  • Support research for new projects related Campaign strategy and execution

Skills required

  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience working in marketing, data, research or analytics role
  • Experience in using insights tools (e.g. Google Trends, SEMrush)
  • Experience working with large data sets to extract meaningful insights
  • An audience first mindset to ensure all campaigns and content meet specific audience needs
  • An understanding of brand and communications strategy and client needs
  • A sense of curiosity, love of learning through insights and willingness to grow your expertise across various industries and client work
