Manager, Corporate Communications and Social Communities

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) Australia are seeking to engage a Manager, Corporate Communications and Social Communities to manage and drive a fully integrated communications agenda to build, promote and protect Stellantis Australia’s public image and its vehicle brands across Australia. This position is responsible for product communications relating to all brands (Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Abarth, Jeep, Chrysler, & Fiat Professional), Jeep club engagement and the social media content plan across Alfa Romeo, Fiat and Jeep. With a significant focus on automotive PR and media relations, this position plays a critical role in the generation and exposure of new and existing products, innovation and technology, social media and corporate positioning.

Job Description:

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) Australia are seeking to engage a Manager, Corporate Communications and Social Communities to manage and drive a fully integrated communications agenda to build, promote and protect Stellantis Australia’s public image and its vehicle brands across Australia.

This position is responsible for product communications relating to all brands (Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Abarth, Jeep, Chrysler, & Fiat Professional), Jeep club engagement and the social media content plan across Alfa Romeo, Fiat and Jeep. With a significant focus on automotive PR and media relations, this position plays a critical role in the generation and exposure of new and existing products, innovation and technology, social media and corporate positioning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a social media content calendar across Alfa Romeo, Fiat and Jeep with the support of social media agency;
  • Lead the social media strategic direction and individual brand’s tone of voice in conjunction with the brand team;
  • Deliver quarterly social media results and sentiment report with the support of social media agency;
  • Advisor to social media agency for all customer enquiries via social media and working with internal stakeholders for appropriate responses;
  • Develop and execute Jeep Clubs engagement;
  • Manage the ambassador program including potential brand partnerships in alignment with Marketing.
  • Lead the development of press and briefing materials including media kits, press releases, product presentations, strategic Q&A documents and executive briefing documents;
  • Lead the implementation of the press fleet strategy (press fleet managed by MSR)
  • Manage the launch strategy of all new vehicles to motoring and consumer media;
  • Develop bespoke media opportunities, driving unique and topical content for all brands;
  • Feed into the social media strategy including overall content plan and digital influencer program, providing assistance on brand messaging around complex customer complaints and recalls.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Public Relations or Communications
  • Master’s Degree in Communications
  • 7+ years of experience in a similar role
  • 4+ years of communications industry experience
  • Considerable experience in an automotive OEM
  • Ability to perform in a dynamic and fast-paced environment while maintaining discretion
  • Excellent interpersonal and influencer skills
  • Media analysis skills including methodology interpretation and reporting
  • Ability to perform in a dynamic and fast-paced environment while maintaining discretion
  • Multi-tasking and ability to prioritise
  • Strategic and creative thinker in order to develop bespoke media content
  • Understanding of social media platforms, with solid media relationships and contacts
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail acumen;
  • Thorough understanding of the media landscape and the ability to work to the 24-hour news cycle
  • Strong communications skills – written and verbal
  • A solid understanding of the automotive industry and commercial operations
  • Ability to work under pressure and within a challenging environment
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – verbal and written
  • Highly coordinated with excellent attention to detail
