Chief Marketing and Communications Officer

The Chief Marketing & Communications Officer (CMCO) will be responsible for planning, developing and implementing the University’s marketing capability, strategy and communications.

The Chief Marketing & Communications Officer (CMCO) will be responsible for planning, developing and implementing the University’s marketing capability, strategy and communications.  With over 30,000 students and over 3000 staff, the CMCO will lead a dedicated team and engage widely cross the university to develop a cohesive and competitive brand, marketing strategy and messaging.

With relevant marketing leadership experience, ideally in a large complex environment, candidates will bring knowledge of current marketing practices, with specific expertise in digital marketing, as well as demonstrated experience in developing and implementing comprehensive, integrated marketing campaigns.

With the ability to engage academic colleagues, candidates should combine strategic, analytic and creative thinking with expert communication, collaboration and leadership skills.  A data-led approach to decision making, and the ability to exercise sound business judgment in a dynamic and highly competitive environment, is also essential.  The CMCO will join a team of driven, like-minded executives committed to realising the UTS 2027 Strategy.

The CMCO will have experience of driving a proactive marketing and communications function in similar strategic and operational contexts and demonstrate the ambition to shape a long-term strategy that will enhance the University’s international reputation, profile and network of relationships.
