Account Director

We're recruiting for an Account Executive who will be responsible for developing innovative, data led paid media solutions for global technology clients

Merkle DWA is a data driven media planning and buying agency. Our expertise is Technology brands and we work with some of the world’s biggest players in the category. Several recent new business wins have sparked the hunt for new talent, who can help expertly deliver customers to its clients through data led, 1:1 brand experiences.

We’re recruiting for Account Director who will be responsible for developing innovative, data led paid media solutions for global technology clients.

Task & Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the Managing Director and responsible for the effectiveness of the relationship and deliverables on a group of clients
  • Main point of contact for senior client and internal stakeholders
  • Management of junior team members and their professional development
  • Responsible for governance of key accounts, development of strategies, and leading the team to deliver innovative integrated offline and online media plans
  • Responsible for new client onboarding
  • Contributing to new business pitches and projects
  • Working closely with the analytics team to develop sophisticated paid media reporting which aligns to clients core business objectives and elevates insights
  • Identifying opportunities for cross functional scopes of work, leveraging the full Merkle B2B offering
  • Responsible for financial reporting (including forecasting) on client health and performance to the management team
  • Developing strategic relationships with key media partners including publishers and technology platforms, to innovate and evolve media solutions for clients

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 5-7 years in an media agency role
  • Integrated planning experience across digital channels including direct, programmatic, paid social and search
  • Experience in managing teams and working with multiple stakeholder groups
  • Experience working with senior client stakeholders
  • Must be an Australian resident with full working rights


  • $100,000-$120,000 per year
