WPP AUNZ’s J Walter Thompson Sydney has won the Nikon account as the camera brand’s lead strategic and creative agency.
The agency commences work in Q3 2016 with its first major project encompassing a creative campaign for the forthcoming launch of the new KeyMission 360, Nikon’s first ever wearable action camera which also incorporates SnapBridge, a Bluetooth supported wireless connection.
Jenny Willits, managing director (above), J Walter Thompson Sydney said: “We’re delighted to welcome Nikon to our expanding client roster. They have an amazing array of upcoming launches which will clearly position the brand at the forefront of the next evolution in photography. KeyMission 360 is evidence of that.
“The solutions we create will need to be just as innovative if we are to cut through the indifferences in the category and stimulate the creative photography market. It’s a great challenge and we’re looking forward to solving it as Nikon’s creative agency partner,” said Willits.
John Young, marketing manager, Nikon Australia said: “The ability to capture immersive 360 degree videos with our KeyMission 360, creates new ways of both storytelling and reliving those memories. We are placing unexplored possibilities of Virtual Reality (VR) in the hands of our customers who crave new experiences in their photographic adventures.
