Ita Buttrose Tops B&T’s Women In Media Power List 2019

Ita Buttrose Tops B&T’s Women In Media Power List 2019

Ita Buttrose has come out on top of B&T’s Women in Media Power list for 2019.

On Friday night, B&T honoured the best and brightest females in the industry at the annual B&T Women in Media Awards. Honouring 18 women across 21 categories, the night was a true celebration and inspiration. And, as usual, we also compiled a list of the most powerful women in the industry.

Starting with 382 names, B&T put our sweat and tears into whittling that number down to 30.

This year’s winner was clear in our eyes: the indomitable Ita Buttrose, who was, in fact, the winner of our Lifetime Achievement award last year.

Though Ita could not join us on the night, she did send in a video accepting the Power List award. In her speech she said: “Power and influence come with enormous responsibility. I will always do my best to exercise wise judgement.”
