Photo sharing social media platform Instagram and the illustrious location-based dating app Tinder have found solace in each other with the announcement Instagram has been integrated into the hook-up platform.
The integration sees Tinder users now able to flick through a potential match’s Instagram photos, but only the last 34 images.
The partnership is a move to capitalise on the large number of people already adding in their Instagram handles to their profiles, says TechCrunch.
“This is the first of many steps to take the recommendations engine to the next level and help you assess the person you’re matching with and start those conversations,” said Tinder cofounder and president Sean Rad, reports TechCrunch. “If we can provide our users with more relevant information for each connection, we can take them halfway there in terms of getting a conversation going.”
