A new study into the digital habits of Gen Zs (those born after 1996) is all good news for the Google-owned YouTube with 95 per cent of respondents saying they used the platform and half of those saying it was the one platform “they couldn’t live without”.

The study by New York based youth online content producer Defy Media involved the answers of 1500 Gen Zs and was reproduced on the US industry site AdWeek.

Interestingly, when it comes to platforms they were less interested in, the Zs nominated Facebook (nine per cent) and Twitter (six per cent) as the two they’d happily go without.

When it came to celebrity endorsement, the Zs preferred online bloggers over mainstream celebs like the Kardashians.
