Industry treasure, Kathleen Beddoes, has tragically passed away after losing her battle with cancer.
Beddoes was a marketing specialist. She made a huge name for herself in the industry. Particularly when she was the head of NGEN and Media Federation of Australia.
She also worked at Fulcrum and Adshel. She was talented, strategic and known for being innovative and people-focused.
Her close friend, Tahni Brooks posted a touching tribute to Beddoes on Linkedin where she wrote: “Kathleen Beddoes touched the lives of so many people within the media & advertising industry, especially during her time as Head of NGEN an MFA Initiative. Those of us lucky to have been in her presence were witnesses to what an incredible light she was on this earth.
“Sadly, KB lost her battle with cancer on Sunday morning, but our girl loved any celebration, so celebrate her we will!”
Brooks also generously shared a note from the Beddoes family and wrote: ” It breaks our hearts to share that she passed away early Sunday morning. We hope that, like us you can take comfort in knowing that she was surrounded by loved ones.
“Our beautiful sister was over the moon to find her life partner in Conor and to become a mother to beautiful Cora. These were her greatest desires in life and now become a part of her legacy.”
There will be a private ceremony held for Beddoes just for close family. However, the family have asked for people to release flowers into the ocean on Saturday in commemoration.
