ACM has won the UnLtd Open golf tournament with GumGum taking second place.
The inaugural event raised $90,000 for UnLtd, our industry’s social purpose organisation helping children and young people at risk.
The golf tournament saw 25 teams swing, drive and putt for good at the beautiful St Michael’s golf course in Little Bay.
The teams were also treated to special experiences and competitions along the course, ranging from cocktail golf carts and local produce tasting, to quizzes and tips from the pro golfer Paul Gow.
UnLtd head of events Jenni Hayward said: “In the last couple of years, UnLtd events have experienced major growth as we’ve diversified our events portfolio to range from surfing and sailing to seminars and our annual Big Dream gala experience.
“Our industry loves a bit of healthy competition and taking part in the UnLtd events is a great way to combine our love for sports with giving back. There are some great golfers in our industry so setting up a golf event was a bit of a no-brainer and we’re delighted with how many people joined in to support the event.”
Sponsored by oOh! Media, the competing teams included: ACM, Astus, AthletesVoice, Foxtel Media, GumGum, GroupM, Initiative, Maud, Nine, Nova Entertainment, oOh! “Naturally we saw being involved in the first ever UnLtd Open as an Unmissable opportunity for us to do just that – and have some fun doing it! It was a fantastic day out on the greens with our peers and competitors whilst raising funds for the important work that UnLtd do. We cannot wait to be involved next year!”
The competition was played as an Ambrose game in mixed teams of four over 18 holes. The winning score by ACM was 52.75 closely followed by GumGum with a score of 54.375. The fairest team prize was awarded to Nine and a special best dressed prize to Astus.
ACM national sales & partnerships director Penny Kaleta said: “We are so proud to be taking home the inaugural trophy, especially amongst such stiff competition!
“We loved spending the day outside with our colleagues and competitors for such a good cause and winning the trophy just topped what was already a great day. We’ll be back next year to defend out trophy!”
