American ice-cream company Halo is known for two things – pitching its low-calorie products squarely at adults and its famously black marketing.
Now the brand’s back with a string of new ads that pillar modern-day maladies from online dating to paying your mortgage.
The hilariously bleak TVCs are the work of 72andSunny New York and play on the idea that as ice cream is something kids want when they’re happy, it’s something adults need when they’re having a rough day.
The four spots centre on an aggrieved, lecturing ice cream van driver who extols his nihilistic view of the world to anyone prepared to listen.
