Glen Thomas, vice president of marketing & communications, IBM A/NZ will participate in the panel discussion based on the use of smart data at the 2015 CXO Leaders Summit, taking place in Sydney on August 19th -20th at the Sheraton on the Park.

The session, “From Big Data to Smart Data” will focus on how the use of smart data can clarify and assist business marketing strategy. Big data has the capability of providing information over a span of key business concerns…but in order to make use of all of this digital information, the proper tools are needed. While many enterprises make efficient use of this data, the ways in which to do so are continuing to evolve.

“Most companies consider their data analysis a foreign concept and are either unsure of unaware of how to properly utilise this abundance of information. The panel discussion on, ‘From Big Data to Smart Data’ will provide multiple viewpoints of today’s most successful and leading marketing executives as well as the companies that can make use of big data, such as IBM. This session in particular is a key component that will contribute to the success of the CXO Leaders Summit; raising discussion regarding a key component in the industry,” said Tyron McGurgan, CEO Media Corp International.

This panel discussion is among the summit sessions that provide insight regarding themes such as data analytics, mobility, customer loyalty programs and agile marketing. Through a series of sessions that include keynote presentations, panel discussions, speaker sessions, roundtable strategy sessions and pre-arranged one-to-one business meetings, summit attendees will gain insight regarding the industry’s current issues and challenges.
