Ian Thorpe Set To Be New Face Of Vortex Spas

Australian swimming great, Ian Thorpe has partnered with spa brand, Vortex Spas to launch a new range of spas and swim spas in mid-2018.

Thorpe’s management company, Sports & Entertainment Ltd (SEL) brokered the three year partnership that will see Thorpe become an Ambassador for the brand’s new spa and swim spa ranges across digital and B2B platforms.

“We are delighted to have Ian come on board” said Vortex Leisure CEO, Andrew Pullen.

“His success and expertise in the water makes him a natural fit to promote the new spa range and his global exposure will help showcase our market leading technology that we believe creates the perfect spa.”

As part of his Ambassador role, Thorpe will front a short documentary that follows the product development process of the new spa range from the cutting-edge design, to the materials and technology used that have seen Vortex Spas become an innovator in the spa industry. The documentary will be used to promote the launch of the new range which will be unveiled in Queenstown, New Zealand and then at the world’s largest spa expo in Lyon, France in November 2018.

Ian Thorpe said, “Portable spas & pools have always been a big part of the Australian lifestyle. I’m looking forward to working with Vortex Spas on this campaign and learning about the design process, the mechanics and how spas become a part of a home.”

Vortex Spas are manufactured and distributed by Vortex Leisure Pty Ltd whose various spa brands are sold in over 20 countries worldwide. They also own the Spa World retail chain, Australasia’s largest spa retailer, along with Spa Store, an online spa parts retailer.
