The Kyle and Jackie O show returned today with a bang with Sandilands announcing on-air that he got engaged over the break.
Sandilands is normally known for saying something shocking or rapping. It’s 2022, but who could forget his vax rap?
However, Sandilands showed a softer side when he opened up about proposing to his personal assistant turned girlfriend Tegan Kynaston after a two-year romance.
Sandilands announced live on-air, “I apologise to the women of the world. I am officially off the market ladies.”
Jackie’O confirmed, “You are an engaged man.”
Sandilands then launched into his engagement story that was meant to involve a surprise performance by Conrad Sewell. However, Sewell ended up contracting COVID-19 and was unable to make the proposal.
Instead, Sandilands pulled together a dinner with chefs, fireworks and family friends. Kynaston said yes!
Sandilands said: “She had no clue. I was very sneaky about the whole thing.”
Sandilands went on to admit that he has never been happier and he got teary when he proposed.
He also shared that while no wedding date is set, he does think the wedding will “probably” be in Sydney.
Sandilands said: “We haven’t planned if it will be this year or next year.”
Considering that 2022 has been off to a bit of a depressing start it’s nice to see Sandiland’s has found love and it’s not a bad way to start the ratings season either.
