Thursday 27th February, 2014: "Today, iconic British fashion and lifestyle magazine i-D announce plans to launch its reimagined online presence i-D.co in Australia and New Zealand.

The innovative, video-driven site debuted in the US and UK in November last year, showcasing editorial that is shaping the future of digital fashion experience and content creation like no other title.

i-D Australia will follow in the tradition of profiling the most captivating personalities in fashion and culture; examining the intersection of fashion and music, film and design; and championing up-and-coming talent and emerging trends in our part of the world.

“Australia and New Zealand are brimming with unique talents that have been waiting for an international platform as smart and captivating as i-D.co. We couldn’t be more excited about being part of the evolution of this amazing brand and to break new ground here with the distinctive i-D voice.” Briony Wright, i-D AU/NZ Editor.

Interviews, opinion pieces, fashion films, personal columns and exclusive high definition shoots with Australia’s fashion and artistic legends and rising icons will sit alongside the incredible international content created by i-D’s London team.

i-D.co marks an exciting new chapter in i-D’s history and we’re so excited to expand our fan base into new terrain like Australia. The site is so much more than a magazine bought to life; it’s the go-to destination for a global community of fashion fans who heard it here first.” Holly Shackleton, i-D Editorial Director

The revamped website debuted in London and New York with an exclusive worldwide premiere of M.I.A’s Video for Y.A.L.A in collaboration with KENZO. Additional highlights included an iconic A-Z of Wink video by Jeremie Rozan, which brought i-D’s iconic cover winks to life, a spotlight on Rick Owens by Nabil and an interview withDior head designer Kris Van Assche.

i-D’s online launch is executed in collaboration with VICE Media, which acquired the publication in December 2012. VICE is utilising its worldwide network and resources to help drive i-D’s aesthetic into the global digital sphere.

i-D Australia’s partners, editorial team and content program will be announced to coincide with the site’s official Australian launch."
