Hotwire Appoints New MD And Content Director

Hotwire, the global communications agency, is reinforcing its local leadership team, with the appointment of Jaime Nelson (feature image) as Managing Director of the Sydney office, as well as Rochelle Ritchie (below), as Content Director.

In her new role, and leveraging her extensive experience across the marketing spectrum, Nelson will be in charge of accelerating Hotwire Australia’s transformation into a fully integrated communications agency.

Looking to the future, Nelson said, “We are dedicated to transforming our agency into a hub of marketing services that our partners can activate based on their changing needs.”

“Traditionally, Hotwire has been known for owning the tech PR space. As our team has expanded, so has our service offering, in order to align with market needs. We’re now servicing clients in brand strategy, social media strategy and performance, as well as content production and design, and media relations. The objective is to evolve into a tech-focused brand consultancy capable of addressing both traditional tech players, and fast-growing tech verticals such as HealthTech and FinTech. I’m confident we can continue this transformation thanks to our growing multi-skilled team.”

Formerly Managing Director of sister-agency, Precinct, Nelson joined Hotwire Australia in July last year as Managing Director for Strategy and Marketing Services upon the merger of the two agencies. She brings more than 20 years of experience in marketing, spanning multiple industry sectors, both in Australia and overseas, working with brands such as Optus, Telstra, CBA, Microsoft, Symantec, Samsung, IBM and Coca-Cola. Her experience includes numerous management and production roles, across different communications disciplines, including advertising, stakeholder communications, brand & design, live events, and content production.

Hotwire Australia also announces the appointment of Rochelle Ritchie as Content Director.

Ritchie joins the team with over 7 years of experience in digital marketing and content, with a deep specialisation in social media strategy and performance, as well as content production. She has worked with brands such as GSK, Multiple Sclerosis Ltd, and Schneider Electric.

Nelson said, “We’re excited to have Rochelle on board! Her extensive experience in digital marketing is the perfect addition to expand our offering. This will help fast track our vision to be a one-stop-shop for marketing services.”

Ritchie adds, “I believe the future is integrated. Hotwire seems to be adding the right ingredients to evolve with a changing landscape, while maintaining the expertise in tech PR. I’m excited to join the team, and be part of the future at Hotwire.”
