Hisense Australia announces a new addition to its Augmented Reality (AR) App, Hisense Home AR, bringing the brand’s 2021 TV range into Australian homes on the day it is unveiled.

In line with the products being revealed at this year’s virtual Consumer Electronics Show (CES) from January 11 – 14, consumers will have an unrivalled first look at the new range, from the comfort of their own living rooms. Announced today, Hisense’s first ever 8K TV to hit the Australian market, the U80G, will be featured on the Hisense Home AR app alongside the wider 2021 TV range.

Andre Iannuzzi, Head of Marketing at Hisense Australia, said: “In 2020, consumers needed to adapt their shopping experiences like never before, many while confined within their homes. We launched our Hisense AR app in 2019 to make it easier for Australians to choose and purchase a product from our range of electronics and home appliances by allowing them to virtually try before they buy. This proved an invaluable way for our customers to explore our product range, particularly in a challenging climate, and we’re excited to be again innovating to bring our new 2021 TV range into Australian living rooms, in real time as the products are announced at CES.”

Available now for AR compatible iPhone, iPad and Android mobile devices, the Hisense Home AR app allows consumers to preview Hisense’s 2021 range in true-to-life clarity. The AR integration means users can see the true-to-size product and accurately measure their space, as well as review the exact specifications and find their nearest retailer, all from the comfort of their own home.

“Typically, consumers get a taste for what’s to come for the year ahead at CES in January but can often be waiting months before they can see the product for themselves. We pride ourselves on our continued innovation and focus on superior customer service, so we’re thrilled to be giving our Australian customers an early preview of our product range, direct to their homes.”

Developed in mid-2019, the app also offers consumers the opportunity to view Hisense’s current range of products, including audio, kitchen and laundry categories, by allowing them to virtually see the product in situ within their living room, kitchen or entertaining area. The Hisense Home AR app is free to download and can be run on compatible smartphones and tablets. It is accessible via the Apple Store or Google Play.
