The 2014 Health and Wellbeing Weekend, to be held on Saturday the 4th and Sunday the 5th of October at Sydney’s Saint Mary’s Cathedral forecourt, is a weekend dedicated to health and fitness, wellbeing, nutrition, and beauty. This free event is designed to connect health and wellbeing minded Australians with the industry’s best.
Confirmed ambassadors include high-jump champion (and inspirational brain tumour survivor) Amy Pejkovic, yoga expert Kate Kendall, fitness and health food enthusiast Scott Gooding, leading dietician Susie Burrell, mind coach Debbie Spelling and pilates instructor Jasmine Burnett.
Over the two days, Health and Wellbeing Weekend will feature yoga workshops, pilates classes, cooking demonstrations, pampering sessions, holistic living seminars, mind and spirit workshops, all presented by experts in their field. Visitors can channel their inner Madonna with a Retro-sweat class or flow with a revitalising yoga class.
More than 4,000 people are expected to attend over the weekend; eager to learn the secrets about all things health and wellbeing, as well as pick up some fantastic products and samples.
“The weekend is a fantastic opportunity for both the health conscious and those who want to learn more about health and wellbeing to gain some expert knowledge to improve both their physical and mental wellbeing,” says Deborah Thomas, director, media, public affairs and brand development at Bauer Media.
“This is a great initiative to provide credible and informative health and wellness information in an interactive and personal way,” says Ms Thomas.
