Havas Announces Appointment of ECD

Havas Worldwide Australia has appointed Tim Green as Executive Creative Director.

Green’s career has spanned over 20 years, three continents and just about every category and discipline in the advertising business.

He has judged at numerous award shows and has been awarded consistently at the highest levels of every major international award show. He counts the coveted Cannes Lion Effectiveness award for the Bundaberg Rum, Watermark campaign as a highlight so far.

Green has spent the last six years with Leo Burnett, beginning in Sydney and then as chief creative officer in Singapore from 2013. As an executive creative director Tim has worked with Y&R in Brisbane and JWT regionally across South East Asia.

Commenting on the appointment Havas Worldwide Australia Group CEO, Anthony Gregorio, said: “We’re delighted to have Tim join us at Havas.  He’s a terrific operator with a fantastic track record of award winning work on clients big and small, at great agencies.  It’s a mark of the bloke that since it’s been known amongst some in the industry I have received numerous calls saying ‘great hire’.”

“Havas has doubled in size in the last few years and there are huge opportunities here with our client list and the Havas Village model with advertising, digital, PR and media all working together to drive a different perspective on the way we work with our clients.  Tim’s philosophy of ‘ideas that move’ marries up perfectly with the Havas Village model and the work we have been making for a few years now. We’re excited about Tim leading the creative charge.”

Tim will take up the position early December.
