Havas Melbourne Expands Senior Team With Two New Hires

Havas Melbourne has announced it has made two new senior appointments across media and strategy.

Sarah O’Leary joins as business director on Havas’ media team. She will work across the company’s Melbourne portfolio of clients, including World Vision and Momentum Energy.

O’Leary has a background in integrated marketing, having worked both as a client-side marketer and in senior roles in media agencies.

Asier Carazo has been appointed as a strategist, working across both media and creative clients in the Havas Melbourne Village.

Carazo brings a wealth of experience from working as a brand, channel and digital strategist in Spain, France and the US. This is his third role with Havas, most recently working at Havas Media Spain as a global strategist.

Havas Melbourne group managing director Matt Houltham said: “It’s fantastic to bring Sarah and Asier into the business and expand our senior bench. The two bring a wealth of domestic and international expertise, fresh perspectives and a tonne of energy to our growing team.

“After a successful 2017, we are excited to continue to build our proposition as Melbourne’s most progressive communications agency.”

To support Havas Melbourne’s growing team, Joey Newton has also joined as an art director. Furthermore, Kate Gurran has joined the media team as a senior account executive, and Eva Chen and Toni Penny have been appointed as account executives.

All new team members have now commenced their roles.
