Guardian Australia Promotes Katharine Murphy To Political Editor

With Lenore Taylor taking up the hot seat of editor, Guardian Australia has promoted Katharine Murphy and Gabrielle Chan to fill her political shoes.

Taylor was appointed to the role of editor this past Friday, as Emily Wilson jets back to the UK to become assistant editor in August.

While Taylor won’t take over until after the election, Guardian Australia couldn’t leave the political desk unmanned.

In a tweet, Taylor announced the promotion of the duo.

And many have extended their well wishes and congratulations to Murphy and Chan.
