Effective 1 January 2016, TH Peng, the chairman & CEO, Greater China, will be moving to a newly created global role as executive director of Grey Group, reporting directly to chairman & CEO Jim Heekin. He will continue to be based out of Hong Kong.
Under Peng’s stewardship, Grey’s China operation grew substantially in size (in the years 2012 to 2015) and its current operation has increased almost three times in revenue.
In addition, the agency has received many accolades in recent years. In 2013, Campaign Asia-Pacific awarded Grey China ‘Agency of the Year’ (Gold) whilst Grey Hong Kong won Silver and Grey Greater China was also named ‘Agency of the Year’ in 2013. In 2014, Grey Shanghai clinched the title ‘Best performing agency in China’ by Campaign Asia.
Peng is also responsible for introducing effective digital thinking and culture across Grey Group Greater China. This has led to a fully integrated digital offering in every office, for all the key accounts in Greater China.
“TH Peng’s role has been instrumental in preparing Grey Group Greater China for the challenges of the future and under his leadership their achievements have been many. I am sure he will continue to bring further success to Grey Group in his new role,” Heekin said.
“TH has done fantastic things at Grey Greater China. He will continue to support us in the Greater China region whilst also taking on other special projects. We wish him the very best in his new role,” Grey Group Asia Pacific CEO & chairman Nirvik Singh said.
Until a suitable replacement is identified, Singh will be overseeing the Greater China operations.
