Grant Broadcasters Adds National Marketing Director To Exec Team

Grant Broadcasters announced today that Jeremy Simpson will be joining their Senior Executive Team in the newly created role of National Marketing Director.

Simpson will be charged with leading the marketing function in developing and promoting the strength of Regional Radio and The Radio Sales Network’s (TRSN) owned and represented radio stations to media agencies and major advertisers.

Grant Broadcasters CEO, Grant Cameron, made the announcement to all staff this week.

“We are thrilled to have someone of Jeremy’s extensive experience in media join Grant Broadcasters and look forward to him working closely with the national sales team in promoting the strength, vibrancy and local connections of our regional communities,” he said.

Simpson has held a number of senior roles within the media broadcasting sector including general manager of Sydney radio stations 2DayFM and Triple M and as the group national sales director for Southern Cross Austereo’s television and radio sales teams.

Grant Broadcasters was most recently in the news after one of its breakfast hosts made an unsavoury joke about the tragic Dreamworld deaths, and has since resigned from her post at the station.

Simpson added, “I am very excited to be joining Grant Broadcasters at time when they are experiencing significant growth in their regional coverage across Australia with a portfolio of 128 owned and represented radio stations.

“Radio remains both resilient and relevant for advertisers today and I am certainly looking forward to demonstrating the great value that regional radio can contribute to an advertisers marketing campaign.”

The appointment is effective from November 14 and will based in the Sydney offices.
