Good Food Guide Goes National

The go-to guides for everything food and drink related on Australia’s east coast are going national, with the Good Food Guide 2018 set to expand beyond NSW, Victoria and Queensland, and shine a spotlight on the must-visit dining destinations across Western Australia, South Australia, the ACT, the Northern Territory, and Tasmania.

The Good Food Guide will – for the first time – visit capital cities in every Australian state and territory – from Darwin, Hobart, Sydney and Melbourne, to Perth, Brisbane, Adelaide, and Canberra.

On sale later this year, the expanded Good Food Guide will be an all-encompassing national ‘bible’ of reviews, revealing the restaurants across the nation that have been awarded a prestigious hat.

Along with reviews around the country, the Vittoria Coffee Restaurant of the Year, Citi Chef of the Year and Citi Service Excellence will be awarded nationally.

The Josephine Pignolet Young Chef of the Year award will also go national, with applications open to chefs from across the country until 1 June 2017.

Distribution of the guide will increase in line with the national focus, and will be on sale in newsagents across Australia, as well as online.

The historic move builds upon a 38-year tradition of culinary recognition, journalism and review. The Age Good Food Guide launched in 1979, followed by The Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide in 1984 and most recently the Brisbane Times Good Food Guide in 2015.
