In perhaps one of the most Australian TV moments ever, a house-proud man has put the PM in his place by asking the liberal leader and press conference attendees to get off his freshly seeded grass.

Speaking to reporters on Wednesday morning in Googong, NSW, Morrison was mid-sentence at the launch of the HomeBuilder scheme – a package designed to stimulate the construction industry – when a man’s voice interrupted him.

An unnamed local resident was unimpressed by the crowd standing on his freshly seeded grass.“Can everyone get off the grass, please?” the man said. “Hey guys, I’ve just re-seeded that,” he added, as he pointed to the lawn.Watch the exchange below.

Following some awkward shuffling and ScoMo himself asking reporters to move forward and off the man’s grass, the resident acknowledged the PM with a thumbs up, which was returned by Moirrons.

As the press conference wrapped up, Morrison joked to reporters: “Make sure you get off that bloke’s lawn!”

“Nothing wrong with a proud homeowner,” commented one person.

“He’s put a lot of time and effort into that,” said another.
