German luxury car marque Audi has played for laughs in a new spot for its very snazzy looking R8.
The new global campaign is by London-based creative agency Bartle Bogle Hegarty and shows a host of slightly off-kilter characters vying to get a look a the new R8 in what turns out to be a rather epic – albeit very safe – car chase.
It all comes with a remake of the classic tune Close To You sung my 20-year-old ukulele YouTube sensation, Reneé Dominique.
Commenting on the spot, Dr Felicitas Nogly, head of content production at Audi, said: “We are very proud of this piece of work. It has the perfect blend of humour, charm and beautiful cinematography. We believe it will raise smiles across the world, and get people super excited about the new Audi R8, our flagship car for Audi Sport.”
