MIK Film, part of the global creative studio MIK Studio, is growing its presence through new partnerships with global brands like Corvette, Chevrolet, and Boost while also focusing on feature film development.
“In January 2023, we outlined a strategy to venture into major TVCs and move towards feature films by 2024. I’m thrilled to say that we’ve achieved these goals, thanks in no small part to MIK Studio’s commitment to investing in the future of MIK Film,” said Ty Linegar, who left Rezistor Films in Los Angeles to lead MIK Film, supported by an award-winning catalogue of directors and producers.
Alongside editing and VFX work for TVCs and short films, MIK has stepped into feature film post-production on The Room Below, starring Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Alyssa Sutherland, which recently finished shooting in Sydney. The successful production of such a high-calibre film reflects the resources and talent of the MIK team, particularly in the editing and sound departments which feature a state-of-the-art 5.1 audio post solution.
“It was a natural progression for us to showcase our creativity in the independent feature film sector,” said Adam Callen, founder of MIK Studio. “I’m proud to promote our post-production facilities at the American Film Market as we continue to grow this aspect of our business with both local and international producers.”
MIK also has a slate of genre films in development, with further feature announcements expected this month.
The growth is no surprise, given the ongoing success across all areas of the business. With nearly 25 years of experience, MIK Studio has built a strong foundation in production, video, audio, and design, with strategy and culture underpinning all that they do.
MIK is proud to operate across key international hubs, with offices and partnerships in Australia, London, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Bali, Canada, USA, and France, among other territories. This extensive network allows MIK to collaborate with top-tier talent and deliver creative content that resonates globally.
