With one week to go until Australia Day, the Hottest 100 is coming down to a choice of two, between Flume’s ‘Never Be Like You’ and Amy Shark’s ‘Adore’ according to the betting from sportsbet.com.au.
The online bookmaker is reporting that close to half of total wagers on the annual countdown has been placed on the two songs with Flume the $1.70 favourite and Amy Shark paying $3.00.
Every other song in the betting is paying odds of $11 or larger with Temper Trap’s ‘Thick As Thieves’ the best backed roughie at odds of $11.
Big movers in the market recently are ‘Redbone’ by Childish Gambino ($21 into $13) and ‘Know Better’ by Spit Syndicate ($201 into $16).
“We’re approaching the business end now of the countdown and punters are very vocal that it’s a choice between Flume and Amy Shark although ‘Never Be Like You’ is the standout contender,’’ said sportsbet.com.au’s Will Byrne.
