Fifth Dimension Consulting has announced the expansion of its executive leadership team in response to the organisation’s significant growth over the last 18 months.

Lyndall Spooner has moved from the position of managing director to the role of chief executive officer (CEO).  As CEO, she will lead Fifth Dimensions’ innovation arm, as well as the development of external strategic partnerships that support the business’ mission of being a global thought leader in research.  Spooner has worked in research and management consulting for over 25 years, and founded Fifth Dimension in 2006

“We have experienced strong growth during the pandemic as we continue to raise our profile as thought leaders in the industry. We have grown our overall staff base by 20 percent, increased revenue by 20 percent and are now rolling out a new organisation structure that will continue to support and grow our high performance and innovation-led culture,” Lyndall Spooner (pictured above) said.

John Crowley (pictured below first) and Alex Vishney (pictured below, second), both highly respected industry stalwarts, have been promoted from directors to joint managing director roles.  Crowley has been with Fifth Dimension for close to five years, having over 20 years of experience working in research agencies in London and Sydney.

Vishney has also been with Fifth Dimension for almost five years, has over 20 years of experience working in research both client and agency side in London and Sydney, as well as having run other successful research agencies.

The new executive leadership team is completed by David Gemmola (pictured below) who remains a director and chief operating officer. Gemmola is a co-founder of Fifth Dimension and brings over 25 years of experience in management consulting and technology commercialisation.

“We are very fortunate to have such an experienced executive leadership team to take the business forward during this period of strong growth. Together we will be rolling out an innovative structure for a research agency that will challenge and grow our own thinking to ensure we become the thought leaders we strive to be,” Spooner added.

“I am very proud of what we have achieved and continue to achieve. Fifth Dimension Consulting is a highly respected and industry-leading strategic research and consulting agency that has amassed a distinguished portfolio of well-known clients including: Coles, Westpac, HCF, Telstra, Foxtel, Colgate and the Commonwealth Bank. We are grateful to our wonderful clients for entrusting us with the scope to help them push boundaries and implement new thinking.”

In addition to the new executive team Fifth Dimension has hired 10 staff in the last 18 months in response to winning significant new business contracts.

“After 15 years of leading Fifth Dimension I can honestly say I have never been more excited for what our company of highly intelligent and curious people will achieve. A creative and innovative culture can take you anywhere. As a research scientist I love not having an end goal of where we want to be, but to focus on the journey and to be open to any possibilities,” Spooner added.

Fifth Dimension has been recognised for its groundbreaking work, being honoured as a 2021 Confirmit ACE (Achievement in Customer Excellence) Award in the Innovation category, a 2020 Confirmit AIR Insight and Research Award Winner, as well as being included in the highly respected 2020 GreenBook Research Industry Trends (GRIT) Top 25 Strategic Consultancies, as one of the world’s most innovative companies.

Since its launch in 2006, Fifth Dimension’s four pillars of expertise have continued to evolve new capabilities to embrace uncertainty and drive the development of market-leading approaches: strategy, experience, research and technology.
