Kendall Jenner has once again found herself in the firing line over an endorsement deal, with many of her fans claiming they were misled via the social media hype drummed up by her “momager”.
On Saturday, Kris Jenner commended daughter Kendall on Twitter “for being so brave and vulnerable” in sharing “her most raw story”.
I’m so proud of my darling @KendallJenner for being so brave and vulnerable. Seeing you share her most raw story in order to make a positive impact for so many people and help foster a positive dialogue is a testament to the incredible woman you’ve become. pic.twitter.com/rJUXdN2Wmq

To further fuel the intrigue of Kendall Jenner fans, Kris followed up with this:
Make sure to watch @KendallJenner’s Twitter on Sunday night to find out what I’m talking about and be prepared to be moved. #bethechange #shareyourstory #changetheconversation #proudmom #finallyasolution #authenticity #mydaughterinspiresme #getready

However, the “raw” story Kris raved about on social media turned out to be an endorsement announcement for Proactiv, with the skincare company using Kendall’s battle with acne on the red carpet at last year’s Golden Globe Awards to plug its products.

And, understandably, many of Kendall’s fans were furious, claiming they were misled by the hype provided by Kris.
sis … don‘t tell me that THIS is the announcement your mom tagged with hashtag „bethechange“ and hashtag „shareyourstory“ and hashtag „changetheconversation“ ?? girl i- pic.twitter.com/JTslHNdZYk

kris jenner telling everyone to prepare to be moved by kendall because she’s set to reveal a deep and personal story that actually ended up being a f*cking proactiv commercial is honestly the most kris jenner thing ever

Kendall Jenner teaming up with Proactiv is the biggest example of celebs and influencers hawking product they’d never use a day in their entire life, and I’m over it. *insert eye roll here*

Of course, this isn’t the first time Kendall has been slammed by the public for endorsing brands. Who could forget the infamous Pepsi ad that got lambasted, pulled and parodied.
