Good Food Month presented by Citi returns to Sydney in October with over 180 delicious events, inspiring talks, chef collaborations and not-to-be missed experiences.

This year, the talent-filled, good-times-packed programme draws on the inspiration that fuels this city and spins it on its head, inviting bon vivants to re-imagine Sydney’s buzzing food scene over 31 flavour-packed days. Tickets are on sale now from www.goodfoodmonth.com

Venessa Cowell, director of food events, Fairfax Media said: “Good Food Month is so much more than what lands on your plate. That el pastor taco you’re eating? That savoury croissant stuffed with spanner crab? They weren’t spun out of thin air; they’re the product of wild adventures and travels, the memories of family meals, the mentors who led the way and what’s happening on the streets at this very moment. Our 2017 programme celebrates everything that goes into producing a dish and the memories that are created once you taste it”.

This year’s Good Food Month introduces Sydney to Hyde Park Palms, an inspiring and vibrant event hub that will transport guests outside of the every day, from 5-22 October. Designed by acclaimed interior design firm Caroline Beresford Design, the Palm Springs-inspired precinct will play host to exciting talks with culinary greats Marco Pierre White and Neil Perry, a pumping Cali-Mexican party by Mitch Orr and Dan Hong, an Africola Sound System experience with Duncan Welgemoed, lyrca-clad morning dance classes, Sydney’s best brunch feasts and thought-provoking panel discussions.

Kicking off on 5 October, the ever-anticipated Night Noodle Markets returns to Hyde Park, setting Sydney alight with the smells, sights and sounds of forty sizzling stalls. Food-lovers will feast on signature dishes and innovative new tastes from the likes of Din Thai Fung, House of Crabs, Indu, Mr Bao, Chur Burger, Gelato Messina and Black Star Pastry, served up with dancers, DJs and live music. To make things quick and easy, the markets are also cash-free so guests can spend less time queuing and more time enjoying the night.

The much-loved Let’s Do Lunch joins the programme once again, opening up Sydney’s best lunch offerings at a specially curated price, especially for Good Food Month visitors. Sydney institutions Aria and Jonah’s Whale Beach join new players like Rockpool Dining Group’s Jade Temple for Sydney’s favourite spring pastime.

Citi Australia celebrates its ninth year as presenting partner of the Good Food Month programme. In 2017, they are working with some of the city’s best restaurants to host a series of one-off events throughout the month – from a sushi and whiskey party at Sokyo to a six-course progressive feast at Ormeggio at The Spit, LuMi Bar & Dining and Aqua Dining.

Tanya Smith, director of the global experience team said: “Citi is proud to be the national presenting partner of Good Food Month and we’re excited to see Sydney’s festival program as the biggest and best yet. To celebrate, Citi are giving visitors to the Night Noodle Markets the chance to win an incredible culinary experience with Citibank Dining Program Ambassador Gary Mehigan when they snap and share their Night Noodle Markets experience on Instagram. Citi customers can also access a range of exclusive benefits including the popular Citi VIP space at the Night Noodle Markets

“Citi’s national partnership with Good Food Month, and our Citibank Dining Program, are great examples of how we support the Australian food, wine and restaurant industry, which remains a top priority for us.”
