Ex-drummer Of The Delta Riggs Chosen To Lead Habitat Media’s Melbourne Office

Sydney-based experiential agency Habitat Media has announced the appointment of Simon McConnell (pictured above) to head up its new Melbourne office.

Some of the more musically-savvy types will recognise McConnell as the former drummer of Australian indie band The Delta Riggs. He joins current Delta Riggs bass player Michael Tramonte (aka Monte), based in Sydney, to round up Habitat’s ‘rock star’ sales team.

McConnell is no stranger to the business though, having worked for over two years on the production and campaign management side of Habitat Media.

He said that after a few years of working behind the scenes, he’s been itching to get to the front line.

McConnell describes the Habitat Media team as “an eclectic bunch of good-hearted humans”, and his goals for the Melbourne market are to surprise people and change their thinking.

“I enjoy putting a smile on people’s faces and brightening people’s day, whether it be through creativity or a conversation,” he said.

“Working with good people – it’s all about the coming together.”
