Azi Farjad, Developer Evangelist – Alexa Skills, Amazon

Azi is an Alexa Developer Evangelist at Amazon. Her role involves inspiring and helping developers to build voice experiences using Alexa. She has been a developer and software consultant for a variety of products during her career. She believes we can create more engaging experiences for users when we use voice technology and she is passionate to help solving problems using these capabilities.

Azi will talk about importance of voice technology and how designing for voice is different from designing for graphical user interfaces.

Chris Sonn, Senior Manager – Digital Marketing, Virgin Money

Client side, agency side, fintech side, Chris has taken on and solved a great number of marketing challenges, through data, technology and a layer of common sense. 14 years of supporting business small and large led him to specialise in the dark arts of what some call digital marketing, others growth marketing, or even dare I say online marketing. It so happens marketing challenges and financial services go hand in hand so voila!

Under his current remit, media optimisation, search (paid and organic), web analytics, content marketing , CRO, personalisation, audience segmentation and activation

Chris will discuss how you can connect the dots between SEO, Content & Voice search, in order to boost your brand’s awareness and experience in the one go. Don’t expect blue sky inspirational visions, this will be focused on enabling attendees to walk away with stuff they can actually implement.

Karen Lewis, Head of Digital and Performance Marketing, Salmat

Karen Lewis is an advocate for digital innovation and women in Tech. Originally from the UK she moved to Australia eight years ago and has since worked with brands such as TAL, David Jones, Citibank and Woolworths.

Currently she is Head of Digital and Performance Marketing at Salmat, where she is focused on achieving great return on investment for clients through digital channels such as Email, SEO, SEM and Data and Insights.

With a reputable background and over 16 years experience in digital strategy, marketing and UX/CX her passion drives her ambition to always build better digital experiences. A respected mentor and digital thought leader who is a SME on Digital Strategy, Digital Marketing, Experience and delivery.

Karen will talk about Search and how the channel has evolved over time, tied into voice technology and her experience with these channels.
