ESPN has reportedly parted ways with the former Boston Celtics basketball star after he posted an Instagram Live of himself smoking, drinking, and being massaged by scantily clad women.
Pierce has worked with the networking since 2017, having appeared on shows like NBA Countdown and The Jump, as well as on their general basketball coverage.
While ESPN has not officially confirmed the separation, journalist Michael McCarthy at Front Office Sports tweeted that according to sources, “ESPN and NBA Legend Paul Pierce have parted ways.”
“Pierce posted videos of himself with exotic dancers on Instagram Live Friday night.”
According to McCarthy, ESPN declined to comment. Journalist Ryan Glasspiegel has since reported that the separation is “effective immediately”.
