Online business lender Spotcap today launched ‘Yes is More’, a search for Australia’s bravest business owner. The search aims to cultivate a culture of smart risk taking by encouraging the small business community to say ‘yes’ more often.

Australian entrepreneurs and business owners who back themselves by taking smart risks are encouraged to enter by sharing a ‘yes’ story.

The most inspiring ‘yes’ story will be awarded $5,000 from Spotcap to grow their business. The runner up will also receive a services package to the value of $2,000 from Charltons Accounting.

A panel of four entrepreneurial experts will select the winners. Lachlan Heussler, managing director of Spotcap Australia will be joined by Chris Charlton of Charltons Accounting, Taryn Williams founder of Wink Models and theright.fit and Natasha Stewart, founder of Mum CFOs and Business Jump.

“Entrepreneurship is about taking smart risks. This competition celebrates the brave and provides SMEs with financial support to enable them to say yes to the next big opportunity for their business,” explained Heussler.

Taryn Williams, a finalist in the 2015 Female Entrepreneur awards knows what it takes to build a successful business. Williams isn’t afraid to take a calculated risk and encourages other entrepreneurs to do the same.

“An entrepreneur can quickly identify and assess opportunities and act on them before anyone else. This in itself is a risk, but it becomes a smart one when you you’ve got the right network, skills and mindset,” said Williams.

How it works:

  • To submit your ‘yes’ story visit https://yesismore.spotcap.com.au

  • Submissions will be accepted as written stories, videos, voice recordings, presentation or infographics. Check the T&Cs for more information on entry requirements

  • Entries close 20 June 2016

  • Accepted entries will be shared on the Spotcap Australia Facebook page on 21 June 2016

  • The four most liked entries on 29 June 2016 become finalists

  • The winner and runner up will be selected by a panel of entrepreneurial experts

Spotcap provides credit lines and loans to micro, small and medium-sized businesses. Spotcap has developed a proprietary  credit algorithm which is focused on real time business performance and financials. Our criteria enable us to say ‘yes’ to businesses with growth potential more frequently than traditional lenders.
