If there’s one thing Elton John does well it’s creating a show-stopping moment, and his latest billboard campaign generates the right kind of buzz.
The Rocketman has turned himself into a QR code via Ogilvy U.K & Clear Channel! to raise funds for The Elton John AIDS foundation – nothing quite says Happy Pride Month like giving back.
Passerby’s in The U.K and Europe can just scan the code and donate. Giving on the go! Even Elton’s QR code has been ‘Pride-ified’ – it has been dubbed an “LGBT+-QR Code.”
The slogan cleverly is, “Put your money where your Pride is!” But to be fair, Elton’s known for coming up with a banger of a line, so we shouldn’t be surprised about that.
Put your money where your #pride is this #PrideMonth! @eltonofficial’s face has been turned in to a QR code and will appear across billboards in the UK and Europe to drive awareness and vital donations towards @EJAF’s mission to overcome stigma & hate🧡🏳️🌈https://t.co/PZh6Cv4Wto pic.twitter.com/s4L3u0vwsD

It’s an incredible idea, and Elton John’s face makes up the code! Sure, his a bit blurry, but you can recognise him by his signature glasses and hair.
Here at B&T, we love an outdoor campaign that packs a punch and a glamourous punch at that.
