eBay Australia & New Zealand has appointed Tim MacKinnon to managing director following the appointment of Jooman Park to senior vice president for the APAC region last month.
“Tim has a fantastic track record within the eBay Australia & New Zealand business having lead both the seller and marketing teams during his six-and-a-half year tenure in the Sydney office,” Park said.
“Tim is well-known to the Australian eBay seller community and is well-respected by them for his deep e-commerce insight and partnership.
“When I moved to Sydney four years ago, I set out to help define a new Australian retail landscape by successfully partnering with businesses and establishing online retail standards.
“I am delighted with the progress the team has made and I know that Tim is the right leader to help guide the business as the ecommerce landscape in Australia continues to evolve.”
Commenting on his appointment, MacKinnon said: “The Australian e-commerce industry is entering a new, exciting period for businesses and consumers alike.
“eBay has been here since the earliest days helping to pioneer the industry, supporting Australian businesses to seize opportunities and providing consumers with great deals.
“It is a great responsibility to continue to grow the 40,000 Australian businesses on the eBay platform, grow the careers of our employees and help three in five Australian consumers to save money.”
