Karl Stefanovic has shared some kind words about Tracey Grimshaw after she announced she’s leaving a current affair.
Stefanovic declared his admiration for Grimshaw on Today this morning. He took a break from the usual news to swing support behind the girl boss and icon that is Grimshaw.
Stefanovic said: “She didn’t tell me she was leaving!”
Then he launched into an affectionate speech about Grimshaw!
He said: “There are few interviewers in this country that are as balanced, incisive, well-briefed and as well loved. So you have made your mark, Tracy Grimshaw, and you have done it your way.
“You are the best I have ever seen and you are quite capable of drinking me under the table and I look forward to being under the table very soon.
“Job well done, Grim Grim.”
Stefanovic’s tribute to Grimshaw was fitting, fabulous, and proof that Grimshaw’s beloved not just by her audience but by her co-workers. Plus, anyone who can match Stefanovic’s drink for drink has reached Aussie icon status.
