Today’s Karl Stefanovic didn’t hold back when he announced the boys involved in a racist, misogynistic and homophobic chat should be raked over the coals.
The boys involved in the chat are from an expensive private school in Sydney, and The Daily Telegraph broke the story that a group of boys were messaging each other via the app Discord. The chat featured everything from the boys praising Hitler to threatening to harm women.
Videos were also shared in the chat, which is now being investigated by the police, that appears to be footage of people being sexually assaulted or raped.
Stefanovic didn’t hide his disgust when discussing this depraved saga on Today: “This is one of the most disgusting, despicable things I have seen. Yes, boys will be boys, but this goes too far.
“How do we expect these boys to grow up and respect women when they are circulating this sort of rubbish around themselves?
“They need to be absolutely pulled over the coals, these kids.”
Stefanovic’s rant was strong, and considering his influence; it may have a real impact.
