Ghost Food – The Smell Of Near Extinct Foods

Ghostfood, by artists Miriam Simun and Miriam Songster is another slice of wearable technology.Designed to highlight the environmental impact on food items, this one allows the wearer to smell custom scents, proffering the experience and flavours of food that is on the brink of extinction.

Conducting A Computer Orchestra

A musical performance by disembodied performers, appearing as computers, conducted by a human, but watched by a fragmented audience via video, sound abstract enough for you?  In this experience musicians and performers contribute to an orchestral ensemble which is then activated and performed by a conductor who controls the piece using Kinect style gestures controls. Vitamins’ Lego Calendar

Putting Lego to practical use design agency Vitamin in London devised a clever way to mange their resources and time.  The calendar works both physically, by allowing people to allocate bricks of time against their logo character, but also digitally, capturing the changes in schedules through smart phone photographs, which are synched to an app. Wouldn’t be great to have the same fun with time sheets? Star Wars Invades Cross Culture.. Again

Tiny Tower is a mobile game created in the style of 8-bit (pixelated low res) games. In its star wars version players get to construct cities and manage inhabitant characters set in locations made famous in the Star Wars film series; like the Death Star. Nerds rejoice, see it here

Technologists at Japanese Telco NTT Docomo have developed a pair of translation glasses that are able to translate a menu in real-time.  The glasses, which work on the basis of Augmented reality, can also turn any flat surface into a touchscreen for the wearer. Check it out
