Dentsu’s Rebecca Tos Heads For The Exits, Next Move Uncertain

Dentsu Aegis Network’s senior VP and managing director ANZ of performance marketing agency Merkle, Rebecca Tos, has departed the agency.

Tos had been with the Columbus, Merkle and Dentsu for 7 years.

Announcing her departure on LinkedIn, Tos said she is moving on to an “exciting and new chapter”, however, it is unclear her next move.

In her post, she wrote:  “I’m truly honoured to have led such remarkable businesses and teams of people in that time and I’m proud of all that we achieved as a collective – banded together by old school RnB, united values and a vision that we all believed in – not to mention, bloody hard work.

“Thank you to my team – you put your heart and soul into every day for our awesome clients. You are quite simply, some of the smartest people I’ve ever had the pleasure of working with.

“Thank you to my clients for trusting us with your business, my colleagues who provided unwavering support and also the partners who helped shape our journey. This next chapter is an exciting one.”

Tos had been in the role for six months after being promoted from CEO of Merkle’s Columbus group.

A DAN spokesperson confirmed to B&T: “Rebecca Tos made the decision to leave the business at the end of last year. We would like to thank her for her commitment and contribution to the business.”

Oliver Rapson, national managing director of iProspect Australia, has expanded his role to encompass and oversee the two businesses.

Prior to her role at Dentsu, Tos worked at News Corp and Reprise Media. She was also B&T‘s Women in Media Woman Of The Year in 2016.
