Southern Cross Austereo (SCA) has announced the appointment of Sarah Michael to the radio network’s newly-created role of digital news editor.
Michael joins SCA from Daily Mail Australia, where she was deputy editor, and has also previously worked at news.com.au as a reporter and editor.
SCA said in a statement that Michael will be responsible for creating a digital news strategy and workflow for the network’s metro newsrooms around Australia.
“It’s an exciting time for SCA News as we invent how news is deployed on-air and online going forward,” SCA chief creative officer Guy Dobson said.
Michael will commence her new role in May and will be based out of SCA’s Sydney newsroom.
