Cosmo goes mobile

Bauer Media’s women’s magazine, Cosmopolitan, is going mobile with the launch of a new app of the magazine.

The iPhone app is a Bauer Media first and signals the next phase in Bauer’s direction and innovation and has already generated 3,500 new subscribers since its release last Friday.

“The app. is a great addition to the Cosmo brand and is an exciting proposition for both our reader and editorial team,” Bronwyn McCahon, Cosmopolitan editor, said.

“We now curate content that spans print, tablet, website, social media and now in mobile app. form, offering endless possibilities for the way in which package up content for our consumer.”

Marcelo Silva, Bauer Media Group’s Head of Mobile added: “The release of the iPhone edition of Cosmopolitan is a significant development for our digital team as we continue to develop greater synergy between our print and digital offering and focus on a first class magazine experience for our readers.”
