Is Conor McGregor Coming To Australia For ‘I’m A Celebrity…”?

Fresh from being pummelled not only by his competitor but his entire competitor’s corner on the weekend, UFC fighter Conor McGregor is now now reportedly a hot favourite to appear in I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!

Sadly, it’s the UK version of the show, however, it’s still a win for Australia with this year’s series again being filmed in a Queensland rainforest next month.

Other names touted for the series have been world champion snooker player Ronnie O’Sullivan, actor Danny Dyer and TV personality/mixed martial artist, Aaron Chalmers.

Although producers typically like to keep the I’m A Celebrity... cast a secret until the show debuts, UK bookmakers have McGregor a pretty safe bet of 4-1 of making an appearance.

The 30-year-old Irishman is currently suspended for a month due to medical grounds which will run until the 6th of November. With I’m A Celebrity launching in mid-November, the show could be the perfect way for McGregor to shed the weight for his next fight (rumoured to be Sunday’s conquerer Khabib Nurmagomedov) and make some money at the same time.

According to reports in the UK’s The Mirror, McGregor’s chances of making an appearance have been slashed by the bookies in recent days.

“McGregor’s faced a fair few snakes in UFC, so the celebrity jungle should be a breeze for the Irishman,” said Jess Bridges, a spokesperson for UK betting site Ladbrokes.
