Consumer lifestyle PR agency, Connect PR, has won a string of new clients, expanding their growing health and wellness portfolio.

Australian Organic, The George Institute of Global Health, and Naturally Good Expo have all appointed the agency as their PR partner for 2019.

Connect PR’s other current clients in the health and wellness space include Life Health Foods’ vegan food brands Vegie Delights, The Alternative Dairy Co. and Naked Kitchen; Sanitarium Weet-Bix Kids TRYathlon; Össur Australia and online posture program The Invisible Exercise.

To kick off the 2019 partnership for Australian Organic, Connect PR has engaged popular media personalities and health coaches Luke Hines and Elle Halliwell to be the organisation’s ambassadors with major campaigns kicking off this month.

Australian Organic is the peak industry body responsible for ensuring organic standards in Australia are upheld, and supports the organic industry across the supply chain, from primary producers through to retailers.

For The George Institute of Global Health, Connect PR will provide support in launching key research data and projects over the coming months.

The organisation conducts clinical, population and health system research aimed at changing health practice and policy worldwide.

Established in Australia and affiliated with UNSW Sydney, it also has offices in China, India and the UK, and is affiliated with the University of Oxford.

The Naturally Good Expo will be held from June 2 to 3 at the International Convention Centre in Darling Harbour.

As the largest B2B event for healthy retailers, brands and practitioners in the Southern Hemisphere, Connect PR will spearhead this year’s communications strategy to drive brand awareness while engaging retailers, exhibitors and consumers on the growing natural health industry.

Connect PR’s expertise in the vegan lifestyle space has been cemented over the past 12 months working with Life Health Foods on successful campaigns and strategies for the launch of their vegan cheese brand The Alternative Dairy Co.

The Alternative Dairy Co. is a collaboration with actor Lincoln Lewis for Naked Kitchen.

Vegie Delights’ campaigns have included securing former Olympian Stephanie Rice as celebrity ambassador for Veganuary – Feel Vegie Good (January 2019) and World Vegan Month (November 2018).

The campaigns included influencer engagement, social media management, content development (video, written and eCookbook), media and influencer events and sampling activations at Newtown Festival and Coles HQ in Melbourne.

Connect PR managing director Megan Rose (featured image) said the agency has had great success in getting out core messages about healthy living and the environment over a variety of innovative campaigns.

Rose said: “The health and wellness industry is now worth an estimated $400 billion globally with many Australians now saying that living a healthy lifestyle is of paramount importance to them.

“This sector continues to grow at a rapid pace and we are passionate about driving brand engagement for our clients in this space by offering value-added and meaningful conversations for consumers who want to be inspired to improve their overall wellness in a competitive market.”

She added: “Nowadays people are much more physically and mentally health-conscious compared to years gone by.

“They also care a lot more about issues such as environmental sustainability, the planet, animal welfare and future generations, so we’re at the forefront of tapping into consumer consciousness.”
