Film and design collective, Collider has created a pro-bono campaign celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Australian Marine Conservation Society (AMCS) and to raise awareness of Australia’s fragile marine coastline.

Darren Kindleysides, director, said: “Fragile Oceans is probably the most exquisite creative that we have at the Australian Marine Conservation Society, thanks to the incredibly talented and generous team at Collider. Ocean protection is all about inspiring people to care for our seas and this short film does that in spades.”

With Fragile Oceans, Collider created a set of print images and a 60-second animated film. Using the metaphor of air bubbles to imply the fragility of marine species and recreating some of our most recognisable sea creatures as precarious formations of air, the film was created as CG animation. Andrew Van Der Westhuyzen, Collider creative director and partner, said: “When I realised how much AMCS had done to fight for Australia’s ocean habitats I wanted to create something as a tribute to that work.”
