While professional sport in Australia has been lucky enough to have small crowds in attendance, the majority of codes around the world are still facing the prospect of matches behind closed doors.
But drinks giant Coca-Cola is encouraging fans to make the most of watching sport at home in a new campaign to launch the upcoming season of the English Premier League.
The “make your home the home end” campaign out of M&C Saatchi and M&C Saatchi Sport and Entertainment in the UK includes three 20-second ads showing fans cheering on their favourite players from the comfort of their own home.
You can check out one of the videos featuring Liverpool’s Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
The campaign also includes the likes of Harry Kane, Marcus Rashford [feature image], Alex Scott and Jermaine Jenas.
“Millions of people watch the Premier League from their homes each week and more than ever, we know many fans would love to be watching their club in stadiums,” Coca-Cola Great Britain senior brand manager Oliver Bridge told Campaign.
“We hope the launch of the campaign will help make the home viewing experience as enjoyable as possible by making their home end atmosphere extra special. We couldn’t be happier to have Harry, Marcus, Alex, JJ and Alex on board – the perfect team to bring the magic of the game to even more fans.”
