Clipsal by Schneider Electric has re-signed as naming rights sponsor of the Clipsal 500 Adelaide until 2017.
The announcement was made by Tourism Minister Leon Bignell and Clipsal by Schneider Electric director of sales, Grantley White, with the complete adrenaline pumping on-track line up for the 2015 event also revealed.
“The Clipsal brand has a strong connection with Adelaide dating back many years. They employ 1500 local South Australian workers and are a part of this city’s fabric so I’m proud to announce they’ll be continuing their association with one of Adelaide’s premier entertainment events,” Bignall said.
Grantley White of Clipsal by Schneider said the Clipsal 500 has become an integral part of how the company engages with the Adelaide community and their corporate customers.
“We see our partnership with the Clipsal 500 as the perfect platform to engage with the local Adelaide community. It also complements the other great community work we do in Adelaide like the Julian Burton Burns Trust. Each year we host over 1200 of our dedicated trade customer base from all over Australia at the event who also participate in valuable customer business sessions,” White said.
“The Clipsal name is synonymous with our event so to extend that partnership until 2017 is really pleasing. We’ve put together one of the most exciting on-track racing schedules in the event’s history, with more entertainment announcements still to come,” Clipsal 500 CEO Mark Warren said.
The 2015 Clipsal 500 Adelaide will comprise a total of eight race categories, including action packed V8 racing featuring two 125 kilometre races on the Saturday, and the top ten shoot out and the final 250 kilometre leg of the Clipsal 500 on the Sunday.
Headlining the support category line-up is Robby Gordon’s Stadium Super Trucks and the Ferrari Asia-Pacific Challenge Series which will both feature on the starting grid for the first time in the race’s history. Ferrari will also be putting on a show off the track with the Ferrari Supercar Display where motorsport fans will see a rare lineup such as the Ferrari F50, the Enzo and prestigious La Ferrari.
