Clemenger BBDO Melbourne has announced the promotion of Sylvain Simao to technical director, overseeing the development team and technology delivery for all clients.
Simao joined Clems Melbourne in 2016 from his native France as technical team lead, helping shape the agency’s technical stack with the mandate to deliver its most ambitiously creative and technically challenging projects.
During his time at Clems Melbourne, Simao has led technical development for the Transport Accident Commission’s ‘Meet Graham’ campaign, Airbnb’s ‘Until We All Belong’ campaign and Snickers’ ‘Hungerithm’, while founding and running Melbourne’s Vue.js developer meet-up in the process.
Ben Kidney, managing partner and director of interactive at Clemenger BBDO Melbourne, said: “By any standard, Sylvain’s last 12 months at the agency have been stellar.
“In addition to the projects he’s delivered, he has taken an active role as a manager and mentor, creating a truly world-class team and offering for our clients.”
